No 1080i option!!?

My Panasonic plasma has 1080i and 720p but 1080i LOOKS BETTER!. Also, my Xbox 360 looks better in 1080i than My Xbox one in 720p. Guess I will have to return my xbox one and get a PS4 since it supports 1080i. I just bought my Panny a few years ago and
it still works and looks great so not about to get a new TV.

I have a Sony TV 1080i maximum so I still set it at 720p on Xbox and 720p on Sky box.. there is a constant handshake in switching from TV to game it's not very seamless I prefer the 60hz option lol

What would happen if I set my sky box to 1080i?... there is no 1080i option on Xbox?

 

Can't get resolution over 480P

According to the
manual for that TV, all SD signals are displayed in 480p and all HD signals are displayed in 1080i (hence why there's no resolution option).



You mention fiddling with the TV settings, but what about the Xbox display settings? The Xbox 360 can output 1080i, so try changing the output to 1080i (as detailed
here) and see if that works.
