Nintendo account login not working

I am trying to set up a new account on my sons Nintendo Switch

I have created a new Microsoft account and purchased Minecraft, but when I follow the sign in details on the Switch it says that the account isn't recognized. But when I login into the nintendo account on my desktop the email is correct and my purchase of minecraft is showing. Im sure its something stupid i doing but please help!!!!! Thank you

With your new account, were you able to sign into the Microsoft website?
How about Minecraft website?

This might just be a bug, you might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if it corrects the problem!

Are you able to log into you Microsoft account from other devices or via browser? Just to know if is a login problem (wrong e-mail or password) or a specific nintendo problem.
