Ninja Gaiden 2 backwards compatibility glitch SOLVED!

to all of those including myself who were frustrated by the error

The storage device containing the active gamer profile has been disconnected. To save your earned achievements, reconnect the storage device and select the device again

i believe i have the solution.

Why this problem occurs. A few possible reasons

#1 if you played ninja gaiden on xbox 360 all those years ago you will get this error if using the same gamertag. After some searching i discovered this error was popping up on the 360 years ago. It had something to
do with the mission packs. If you downloaded that dlc on the 360 years ago then they are not present today. Or at least you have to repurchase them (however im not sure as i dont want to pay another $10 for a feature im certain i paid for 10 years ago)

#2 its trying to unlock an achievement that has already been unlocked. Like i said i finished this in 2008. For whatever reason my gamerscore wasnt ported over to the xbox one. As such when i unlock an achievement in
ninja gaiden its trying to save it as a new achievement when the data already exists from years ago causing conflict.

Solution.

Simply log in with a profile that has no history playing ninja gaiden 2. I did this and no errors at all. To be sure i logged out and logged in with my primary account. I got the error.

So if youre willing to forgo the gamerscore for this game simoly login/create a new live account and go nuts.
