  1. Ninja Gaiden 2 Advice?

NG3 and Razor's Edge are seriously two completely different games, so I can understand not wanting to touch NG3, but RE is pretty damn good and I owe it to Shigurui who got me the demo and showed me the light.

Hmm.... this is actually making me feel like getting back into it again, haha.

  2. I ended up getting Sigma 2.

It seems ok so far, I did get a weird blue screen for a second towards the end of chapter 1, but nothing since then.

So far I like it, it's definately easier, quite a few differences from NG2 so far.

I'll post here when I have a better understanding of the game.

It's easier because they removed 75% of the enemies, however, they did put in the Rachel chapter to compensate for that.

  4. Ninja Gaiden 2 Advice?

It's completely different to NG2 if my memory of NG2 is correct, everything from areas to bosses has been changed.

I like it, but it ain't no NG2!

It's great for people like me who are not NG2 experts, but I can fully understand why the hardcore NG2 fans are not happy.

Basically it's a good game if you accept it for what it is and don't compare it to NG2, in fact I'd compare it to DMC 4, it has that same feel about it.

  5. I salute you all. Ninja Gaiden games make me wanna punch babies. Makes the Dark Souls games look like Kindergarten finger painting, by comparison.

  6. Ninja Gaiden games usually are very hard indeed, but Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is not as hard as other Ninja Gaiden games, it basically suitable for normal gamers, the super hardcore Ninja Gaiden fans who completed Ninja Gaiden 2 on Xbox360 (people like Shigurui
and MVRK) will find Sigma 2 too easy.

I am not a hardcore Ninja Gaiden fan, so Sigma 2 is suitable for me.

The only hard-ish hack 'n slash game I gave done on ALL difficulties is Bayonetta, I don't know how that compares me to serious Ninja Gaiden players.

I have finished Vanquish (FPS) on all difficulties which took some doing, it's a shooter though, so I don't think that gains be much kudos.

Shigurui and MVRK are the stars in this thread when it comes to Hack 'n slash...

  7. I couldn't even finish NG Black on normal.....lol. That game made me its.......female dog. Great games though. Wish I was better at 'em. I love the gratuitous violence. Then again, I love Tarantino movies.

With the exception of Rachel's (chapter 8), Momiji's (chapter 5) and the direction you go in Ayane's (chapter 11), all the stages in NG2 and NGΣ2 are the same. Similarly, bosses and enemies are the same in both games with the exception
of Marbus (boss in chapter 8), the Tengu siblings (chapter 5) and Obaba (chapter 11) appearing as additions.

Enemy numbers per encounter is drastically reduced in NGΣ2 and enemy behavior is somewhat altered where they are not as aggressive in NGΣ2 compared to NG2. That said, the damage output by the enemies and bosses is much higher in
NGΣ2 on Master Ninja compared to NG2.

One of the craziest chapters in NG2 on Master Ninja is chapter 11 (chapter 14 in NGΣ2). Hordes upon hordes of IS ninjas (the ones who throw exploding kunai). See for yourself how toned down that level is in NGΣ2:

Oh, and I don't know about saying it's like DMC4. Devil May Cry feels completely different from NG play style.

You know what I would really love is if Team Ninja could somehow retroactively add Kasumi to Ninja Gaiden Σ2 :) I like her play style and move set in Razor's Edge and with NG2 / NGΣ2's combat system I think she would be awesome.

    Ninja Gaiden 2 Advice?

I have not played sigma, but going off conversations with Shigurui it's terrible and doesn't match up to NG2 at all. Avoid at all costs.

Well Shigurui might comment that it's worth a play, but going off what he said the changes just sounded awful and I wouldn't want to touch it personally.
