Nightly upload speed crashes

Every nihht for the last 4 nights, my xbox 1 loses all decent upload speeds. It begins around 11pm and i never know when it returns to normal as i am usually asleep before it does. It starts as early as 11pm and the earliest ive seen it back upnto normal
was 10am the next day. My normal speeds range from 20-22 mbps download, 1.7-2.4 upload with a 17-23 ping. My box shows me to have an average 22 download 1.9 upload and a 97 ping. But for the past few night, im unable to game when the box looses its upload
speed, dropping it as low as .15mbps.

It normally sits at this time with an uplad speed of 0.35 mbps. As i speak, my detailed network statistics sits at a lowsy 0.43 while my speed test shows an average 2.12, so i know its not my isp. I wouldnt mind if it kept this up for maybe an hour or so,
but last night untill 4am it was constant, never breaking 0.6 mbps, and it seems that way again tonight. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it only does this at night, why it only affects my upload speed, and why its never done so for the 7+ months
ive owned the system.

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try the following 2 things?

1. Power cycle the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts off.

2. Power cycle the modem/router by unplugging for 5 seconds.

If neither of those helps then the issue may lie in your ISP. You could try contacting them to see if there is a problem in your area.

 

Its not my isp, because during the nightly upload crashes, my speed test on every other device shows everything is 100% normal. The issue lies on the box. And it apparently clears up at around 6am. So its not the hardware either, since hardware failure doesnt
have a set schedule. Im not sure whats going on, but i would like help fixing it besides 'did you turn it off and back on again?'

 

Still problematic, every night, same time all night. Had the router and modem replaced, still no luck. Its xbox, and they need to fix it.

 

The fact that the issue is during the same time period each and every night suggests that there may indeed be a problem with your ISP. I would recommend contacting them to do some troubleshooting first.

Be sure to ask about bottlenecks in your area or how far your internet station is from your area.

The reason I'm saying this is because where I live there is an ISP that promises a certain speed. However, the service is split between a large area so the speeds do not come through as promised.

 

Pretty sure its getting worse since xbox literally has no idea what they are doing. And no, it cannot be my isp, its the xbox. My ps4 plays just fine, my pc, smart phone and tablet all show the same thing. 22download 3 upload or more. The odd man out? My
xbox shows 0.28 upload. Its not my isp when literally everything else is 100% working order. And i only pay for 15, but get 22, so i get more than impay for, always have. So its not bottlenecking, nor is it bandwitdh sharingbissues. Its the xbox

 

Still going on. Ps4, pc, tablet, and cell phone read 22 download, 3 upload. Xbox shows 22 download 0.3 upload. When is xbox going to fix this?

 

Still happening. Nothing else is having issues but the xbox doesnt know how to use the internet. Computer, laptop on the wifi, tablet cell phone, all saying 22down 3up. Hell even my ps4 is showing 20 down and 2.5 up, but the xbox is at 0.34 right now. When

Still not fixed. Every thing in the house is st 2 or more upload and the xbox is still only at 0.43 or less. And to make thing worse, every night seems to be a service issue as well. Is xbox ever going to fix their act?

 

Zalm, when You loose Your upload speed, what type of problems You get? Game lags or freeze in time?

Games lag occasionally, since the upload is the only problem. The download is fine, so most games function normally for a few minutes, then the game stalls for a few seconds, then it instntly shifts everything to catch back up. And its still going on.

 

I see around 2.25 about an hour ago. Right now? 0.35 and im still not seeing an future where xbox actually knows how to fix their oen technology.

 

Zalm, I've thinking alot about Your problem, but didn't find any roots, that can cause this.

So I can suggest to You, to try to do Factory Reset, this will lead to restore of all setting to their initial state, so if something wrong with software, this will fix it.

But keep in mind, that this too will lead to deleting of all Your games from hard drive, so You will need then to install them again.
