Night Mode not working

I’d previously set up night mode on my Series X so it filters out some blue light and dims the screen. It was working fine.

I boot up my Xbox today and it’s not. Scheduling does nothing. Using a hotkey like double-tapping share does nothing. Manually turning it on and off does nothing. All 3 of these methods do technically turn the mode on. But nothing changes. The screen doesn’t get dimmed or filtered anymore.

I tried searching the problem online but could only find posts from when the feature was in Alpha.

That's really odd, may I know if you tried power cycling your console to see if that fixes the issue?

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

If you already try it, please let me know what else you tried to fix this.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console and keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, and games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Happened to me last night but after that it completely froze...was bummed because I was doing work in career mode lol

I recommend switching to power saving mode. If this did not work I recommend just to fully boot the console down at night
