  1. night mode and dolby vision not working

    1. Last night I noticed my screen and xbox controller logo was at full brightness even though I had night mode switched on. I turned night mode off on and repeatedly but nothing was happening and I even reset the schedule and preferences. When I restarted the console it fixed the night mode issue but this morning it’s having the same problems again.

    2. when I open netflix or any app with dolby vision, it makes the entire screen turn green. I tested netflix & disney+ through my roku apps and they work fine, but when I open them through xbox that’s when it messes up

i’m on OS version delta 2302.230208-1530

Xbox Series X Allow Dolby Vision/Dolby for Gaming and Allow Auto Low Latency Mode

Unless your going to fork over 1000s of dollars to get 1 of the 5 manufacturers that have 2.1. Dolby vision will not work with ALLM.

Performance of hdr10 is not relevant nor is ALLM.

Dolby vision does not work with ALLM. This is confirmed that this is by design. You choose between the higher fidelity of Dolby vision over Game mode ALLM.

Dolby Vision - Blu-ray player app

Of course the Blu-Ray disks I'm using are UHD and have Dolby Vision.

Dolby Vision is enabled on Xbox One X settings, TV HDMI ports are in Enhanced mode (4:4:4 4K/UHD HDR 60Hz), and the TV test (that can be found inside Xbox menu) returns all green ticks for my Xbox-to-TV connection.

As said, Dolby Vision works with all streaming apps... but not when playing Blu-Ray UHD Dolby Vision disks.

Dolby Vision gaming Xbox series X

It's not an issue that requires resolving. It's just a simple reminder that Dolby Vision increases input lag. If it feels like the input lag is unbearable, just disable Dolby Vision for Gaming in the video modes menu.

Xbox One X Dolby Vision games support late 2019

    Hi there SorrowSeer,

Thanks for the update on the inquiry on the Dolby Vision. To start enjoying this feature today, you need a TV that supports
the latest version of Dolby Vision
    .

To setup this feature, first check if you have a compatible TV by going on your Xbox to the 4K TV Details page under Settings. You can also check the full list of supported TVs here.

    • Next enable Dolby Vision on your console by navigating to Settings -> Display and sound -> Video output -> Video modes -> Allow Dolby Vision.

    Hope this helps.
