I do not buy into the whole "buy a console just for TESO" argument you're putting forth. I don't feel that TESO is a "killer app".

You will need statistics to back that up. I want to see where it says that everyone has the same "bang for buck" mentality.

And if you can get the same game, on same servers for £110 cheaper, where are most people going to
go. It is simple mathematics, Not whether you should or should not go for the cheaper option.

Oh good, I can play this game - It was down for six hours. And if one hadn't logged into PSN in the past month it wouldn't have been working for them. The only reason I have booted my PS4 in the past month was
to check on the PlayStation Store. It's been orange the rest of the time. If I had ignored PSN for a month I wouldn't be able to use games and apps that have hooks into PSN.

Honestly...it's pretty cheap to buy a years sub for LIVE and PS+....so lets not get to over sensitive about it.

pay an extra $100 for an X1 plus gold on top on $15/month AND the actual game to play? It'll be A LOT cheaper elsewhere.

This is a really bad game from the PC beta I was in. It just doesn't feel like elder scrolls. Just my opinion. So maybe this will turn out to be a non issue.

You can get everything you need to play TESO then use that $140 to buy 2 full games...sounds good to me.

But for your example, that's a little different. When you subscribe to Netflix, you have access to their content everywhere they support it. Most people who will be buying an Xbox One will be buying Xbox LIVE Gold anyways. But with TESO,
I believe it will be like every other multi-platform title where you have to purchase it once for each platform. And I bet that subscribing to TESO for Xbox One doesn't mean subscribing to PS4 or PC too, as they're likely separate. That would all be Bethesda's
fault.

[/quote]Not on 360 or X1 if you don't pay for Gold. They could let you use Netflix for free just like ANY other device that supports it but no...MS loves nickel and diming us. Which is also the reason they're making us pay for TESO.

And no, there is no irrational hate for Microsoft here. I am just unhappy with the current direction of the gaming division and hoping for improvements. No, I don't care about the fanbase that is happy with every single thing MS does and neither should MS.
MS will get money from those people regardless.

Another reason why the XBox brand is dying. Microsoft seems to think people like paying for services that they can get for free elsewhere. I can get stuff like Skype on my PC for free yet I need to pay for a Gold subscription to use it on my XBox. The same
with Netflix, only I can use Netflix for free anyplace else. Heck, I can use it for free on my Wii, Wii U, PS3, Vita, 3DS, PC, and my TV. When I buy a PS4 soon, i'll even be able to use it free on that. So what benefit do I get for paying to use it on a Microsoft
system? Like with Tomb Raider, im gonna hold out until I get a PS4 and get that version of the game instead. Its likely gonna look better too.
