Final fantasy 11 for 360 doesn't require XBL gold sub and nothing really confirms you do need XBL gold for Xbox one version of ESO ( it isnt confirmed until the publisher/developer says so)

The Elder Scrolls Online on PS4

No news on Xbox ONE yet but a "PlayStation Plus membership is not required to play The Elder Scrolls Online. PS4 players will only be required to pay the same monthly subscription associated with The Elder Scrolls Online that PC and Mac users will pay—nothing
more". Microsoft are under pressure to match Sony on this now.

Better Single Player: Skyrim or Elder Scrolls Online?

Although Skyrim was literally designed with single player and immersive gameplay in mind. Don’t let that detract you from Elder Scrolls Online. It has hundreds of hours of things to do for the solo Elder Scrolls players.

I’d even say about 80% of the game is single player, including all the main questlines and guilds. The only thing you can’t solo is certain group dungeons and the PvP areas like Cyrodiil. And even in Cyrodiil, there is stuff for solo players to do, so long as you can avoid enemy players.

 

Sunburst, Microsoft shouldn't have to change THEIR policies b/c a developer wants to be greedy. Enough with your MS bashing, at least for once blame the right people and that would be Bethedsa

 

I don't really see the point of not having Gold if you use an Xbox console as your primary device. The OX was fine without it, then the 360 at launch was kinda fine without it until all the apps and features came. And now with the XB1 I don't see the benefit
of not doing it.

If anyone is going to take ESO seriously they should be on PC, I'd say.

I have no problem with $40 a year for live, but $15 a month to play a $60 game is ridiculous. Especially if I don't like it.

Another reason why the XBox brand is dying. Microsoft seems to think people like paying for services that they can get for free elsewhere. I can get stuff like Skype on my PC for free yet I need to pay for a Gold subscription to use it on my XBox. The same
with Netflix, only I can use Netflix for free anyplace else. Heck, I can use it for free on my Wii, Wii U, PS3, Vita, 3DS, PC, and my TV. When I buy a PS4 soon, i'll even be able to use it free on that. So what benefit do I get for paying to use it on a Microsoft
system? Like with Tomb Raider, im gonna hold out until I get a PS4 and get that version of the game instead. Its likely gonna look better too.

But for your example, that's a little different. When you subscribe to Netflix, you have access to their content everywhere they support it. Most people who will be buying an Xbox One will be buying Xbox LIVE Gold anyways. But with TESO, I believe it will
be like every other multi-platform title where you have to purchase it once for each platform. And I bet that subscribing to TESO for Xbox One doesn't mean subscribing to PS4 or PC too, as they're likely separate. That would all be Bethesda's fault.

ESO is not a MS game. So it the developer doing. Netflix is using MS servers to connect with Netflix servers. MS desired money for that uses if they want. XBL server do not belong to ant us but MICROSOFT corporation. So if you do not paid the right uses
thing. Then just leaved XBOX forever.

And no, there is no irrational hate for Microsoft here. I am just unhappy with the current direction of the gaming division and hoping for improvements. No, I don't care about the fanbase that is happy with every single thing MS does and neither should MS.
MS will get money from those people regardless.
