NHL TV App blackout issues

Hi,

I have the NHL TV app on my iPad and Xbox and Rogers Center Ice Live to be able to watch out of market hockey games. The app works fine on iPad so I can see Toronto games as I live in Ottawa, but on my Xbox Toronto games are blacked out, so the app on Xbox
must think I am in the Toronto area. I tried different DSNs on the Xbox but no difference.

How do I get the Xbox NHL TV app with Rogers Game Center to know that I am in Ottawa and let me see Toronto games (no Leafs dissing please).

NHL.com is on xbox live hey!

The blackouts are the same as the standard blackout restrictions you've got to deal with if you're watching via cable TV, etc. Its not ideal for fans but its how the NHL wants to roll with their broadcasts.

Nhl on 360 app

Anybody else having issues watching live games on the nhl app, I have a full nhl gamecenter subscription and it is saying nhl servers unavailable every time I go to watch a game, any ideas anyone Xbox and nhl are useless at helping

The location for the app is based on the IP Address you're connecting from. The DNS or Domain Name System is only a way to translate an IP Address into a Web URL. So changing that is going to have no effect. You'll need to speak
with your ISP in this case. It's possible they can issue you a new IP Address to see if that helps.

Xbox have stated no plans to get NHL but MLB tv is coming so why not NHL. both are on apple tv and work well, why not Xbox?
