NHL Gamecenter Question

So i know the NHL gamecenter app is coming to xbox one, but i have a question, if you live in your favorite teams area, or close to it, will it black out that game because it's on cable in your region? I dropped my cable because it was getting too expensive
and they kept jacking the price every 3 months, the thing is i'll be missing pens games now unless i go out to the bar. Was hoping this would fill the gap.

Nhl gamecenter download is not available

Search appstore for "nhl". Its not called gamecenter anymore.

 

NHL Game Center

I found the NHL app on the Xbox store but all it does is let you see news and video clips. There is no way to activate your Gamecenter subscription.

The NHL website is quite confusing as it mentions both an NHL app and a NHL Gamecenter app.

 

Your understanding is pretty much correct. You can read the full details and do a zip code look-up to verify if you are in the blackout region for your team
here. It looks like you will be able to watch the games that were blacked out in your area 48 hours after broadcast in the GameCenter archive.

I hope they hurry up and push the Xbox One app. Believe it or not, that is
the thing I am waiting on to emigrate from the 360 to the One (but Halo MCC and 5 and Quantum Break will be nice too ).

 

Thanks for answering this and confirming this for me, looks like going to the bar it is for me, since my fav teams games are going to be blacked out, it'd be pointless to get game enter
