Next gen what a waste of time

Don't shoot me please, I'm still a multiplat fan,,,,,,, Anyone played Bloodborne yet? I should be able to mention this Since DR3 was brilliant on the xb1.

 

Oh I couldn't edit, what was the point in my post? 3 exclusives this gen that make it worthy to be in the picture, DR3 on XB1 was just brilliant imo, Sunset Overdrive is in it's own genre of crazy fun and now Bloodborne.

 

@redeye I have watched a couple of vids on YouTube of Bloodbourne. It looks like it plays very well.

 

Hey Rippen, Not a console seller but definitely for fans. I guess you could look at it like Demons Souls, Not a console seller (It was for me) but an amazing game for fans. 3Am didn't lie to me, Yawwwwwn. However, I'm kinda excited about the re-release of
Dark Souls 2 and I can only assume that "Froms" next release might be multiplat in the same way Dark Souls was. Dark souls 3? Who knows, But I don't think it will be a Sony "Japan Studio" release.

This topic suggests that this Gen is a waste of time, For most of us, it's been amazing so far.

 

Compared to my Xbox 360 experience (started late 2010), the OS/UI is more laggier, isn't quite as user friendly as the 360 UI/OS, and there's no voice messaging or chatpad. But I've found things that I actually like about the Xbox 1.

The Kinect and the amount of stuff you can do with it, games look much better than on Xbox 360. And Xbox 1 has more servers (300,000+ worldwide) than Xbox 360 has (15,000 worldwide). Finding matches in my experience has been quicker on Xbox 1 than on Xbox
360. Minecraft Xbox 1 version can load worlds 36x bigger than the 360 version in only a 5th of the time it takes 360 to load it's worlds from scratch, and saving only takes 1-2 seconds, not 10-22 seconds like the 360 version. Xbox 1 is been good for me despite
it's flaws. So I wouldn't call it a waste of time. We get to choose how we use our free time, and Xbox 1 definitely has a place in me even though I play on 360 more since 80% of my friends don't have an Xbox 1 console.

Re hash compilations are doing nothing new or exciting for the industry. Just a quick way to make more money from gamers. If re selling old games is the way forward then they should reflect this on price.

After all who buys a book they already read ?

you can call it want you want, lazy devs, cash grabs, but at the end of the day they are remastering these games because people are buying them, you can't fault a company for giving consumers something they clearly want. plus, everyday there are new gamers
coming into the fold that would have never played some of these remasters because they went for the latest console, instead of getting the console that's coming to the end of it's support.

and my wife buys books she's already read, huge Isaac Asimov fan and is always looking for books in better condition than ones she already owns.

Touched on the rehash compilations in my aforementioned post as well. If it's just a quick way to make more money from gamers, then it's obvious gamers are willing to part with said
money.

If re selling old games is the way forward then they should reflect this on price. - Not sure just what you're expecting here... TMCC was a total of 4 previous games for the price
of one new game. Many 'rehashes' include all prior DLC as well. No such thing as a free lunch... even if it's the same meal you've purchased many times before. You may get a discount if you're a regular customer though.

After all who buys a book they already read ? - Irrelevant... books aren't video games. I rarely-to-never watch a movie twice or read a book twice. But I'll play the same game
(even SP) dozens of times... because (unlike a book) the experience isn't the exact same every time I play it. Video games, by their nature, don't play the exact same way twice. In short, games are interactive entertainment, books are not. Hence, no comparison.

 

Out of all the remasters that been out I've played 2 so to me there new games so its all good

Your 5 years 360 gaming is unproven , by virtue of a 0 gs , for all I know you could be a bored ps dude .

True you did not say Xb1 , ...however , this IS the Xb1 forum .

You don't like the collections , don't buy them .

Your book analogy is not logical .

I was very happy with 4 halo games updated , and all the dlc I never bought origionaly .

If a Gow collection happens , I would be a day 1 buyer .

 

Bringing games to the new consoles make great financial sense. Relatively little effort is needed to port them, most of the time this can be done by an outside team, and it adds money that placates the share-holders until the proper current gen games can
be released.

PLus the call for some 'remasters' seems pretty huge. The Mass effect Trilogy for one seems to have a great calling to be brought to the current generation of consoles. Mass Effect 1 looks great with high resolution textures, so I'm not surprised.

 

^^One of my most anticipated remasters is the Mass Effect collection and when or if they ever announce the Star Wars KotOR remastered collection i swear i'm screaming like a little girl in cheerleading practice..no joke lol

 

If they bring a Mass Effect Collection Yellow I'll be standing screaming my head off right next to you
