Next-Gen is a step behind Last-Gen (No CD burning? No Voice messaging?)

As a loyal Xbox owner since 2004, Im feeling pretty betrayed almost that some of the ore features that made the xbox 360 such a huge hit, have been stripped away from this console.

For one, I just discovered I can't rip CDs? Is this because of the Xbox Music Pass? Ive had it before, but I'd rather buy CDs, and I have PLENTY. I used to love put a CD on my xbox 360 the moment that I bought it! Now I can't and it just absolutely sucks.
Im not interested in any of this cloud nonsense. I want my music ON MY XBOX period. What good is all this hard drive space for????

Second, NO VOICE MESSAGING?

A CORE COMPONENT of the social aspect of the Xbox 360 taken away? Sure, there's smartglass, and keyboards that make it easier to send text messages and Im thankful for that, but WHY would you completely remove the ability to send voice messages?

It's lacking in other areas as well.

No bios? mottos?

You can barely see anyones avatar, no themes, gamer pic packs?

WHAT HAS HAPPENED? WHERE IS THE SOCIAL ASPECT??

If I can learn anything from the 360, its that good things can come. They update all the time, and add features, but It's been almost a year since this console came out and Im baffled that voice messaging and CD ripping are not functions on this console.

Im just really really confused ya know? Like I said I've been playing xbox for over 10 years and as much as I enjoy other aspects of this console I'm almost regretting making the huge purchase that I made on this console because of these features mentioned,
and others not existing when they exist perfectly fine on the 360.

Im hoping that some or all of these features are added in the future. Because as of right now, I can't really argue very much with some PS4 fanboy who would talk my ear off about how much my console sucks.

Last gen hold back this gen

There is no doubt that last gen is hampering next gen at this point. Give it a year or two.

 

Microsoft. We want a choice, Kinect

I DO want Kinect. No Kinect is so last gen. I want to see what next gen Kinect does.

I understand your frustration. The good news is that you can go to the feedback site and have your opinion heard. Microsoft has already added some of the suggestions that fellow gamers have made (3d blu-ray support is one the newest features that was suggested
and is now being implemented).
