Next batch of backwards compatible games revealed.

I think aside from Deus Ex this is insulting, thats what I think. There are so many games people want and they know it but they give us Doritos crash course and zumas revenge?

 

This list shows me that they are having problems getting publishers onboard with bc (imo).

I 100% agree with burnin TODI. Maybe publishers are asking for money? Once they add 360 games into the games store on the One like MS have been saying, they'll be more likely to do it.

 

I agree that this seems to indicate there might be some issues with the publishers. Look at the limited publishers on that list. And MS does not need this. They are going to take a black eye if they do not get some of the most requested out soon. I am
not hung up on it but that tends not to be how the gamer community works.

I also wonder if MS could combat this. They have the rights to the Xbox brand. And nothing is stopping them from making the One BC. They could have launched with BC built in. They could make a cheap drive that connects through to usb that reads the disc
and sends the information to the console for further processing and output. Totally legal for them to do a 360 console like that. And it would read all discs. I am sure the issues have to do with whatever they have to do with the code. But it should be
totally fine for them to add BC to the Xbox One and keep the brand backwards compatible without further issue.

 

The other thing that might be slowing down things: integration of 360 games and dlc into the one storefront. That might be something the pubs want first (to increase dollars).

 

About that.... I've owned and played Halo Reach on my 360 before switching to the One, yet I'm not given any option to download Reach anywhere....

Where did I go so WRONG....?

 

Halo Reach & Deus Ex Human Revolution were the best parts in this latest addition.

 

@RIOT, did you own them as digital download copies or disc?

 

Wow, that was even lackluster that the last list...

I bought the Bioshock games again just to play since they were "coming soon" and they ended up not even adding them..

Oh well, good thing I still got the 360. Hydro Thunder is the only thing I'm somewhat excited for.

That storefront thing could be huge. If BC hits for a game and the Xbox One storefront is not ready it could lead to more used sales. With the storefront ready I could see more impulse buys and buys from people who just do not want to take the time to
hit a place like Gamestop or order online and wait for a used copy.

No matter the issue MS needs to work fast as they are building steam. But if BC is still weak in the big game front for most people in a few more months I could see this biting them in the rear.

Well I've installed Sacred 3 and Operation Flash dance pants or whatever it's called, Blops 1 is still unplayable,,,

If you didn't buy the game digitally, you'll need to insert the game disc.
