News on Update?? Xbox One will NOT read discs/open certain APPS

I've read a few posts about the new update and the Xbone not reading discs and not opening apps. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this topic. My personal issue is that games like Destiny, Game of Thrones will NOT open for me. Yet, GOW will
open and play like new. Certain apps like Netflix will NOT open as well. Is this an update issue? I've tried every possibility out there. Hard reset, etc.

Podcasts on Xbox One

I believe the eventual goal is to open up the X1 to W8 apps, so if you like a certain podcast, try and see if they can make a W8 app so that if it does open up, they are ready to go.

Hey there! Since you've already tried a hard reset, I would next try turning the console off by going to the Settings tab of the guide, then Turn off console, and then unplug the power cord from the back for 5 minutes. If that doesn't work, I would try removing
your profile (Settings, Account, Remove accounts, select your profile, Remove), rebooting (Settings tab, Restart console, and adding your profile back on (Sign In, Add New).

If that still doesn't help, I would uninstall a game and reinstall it, and see if that changes anything.

the games and apps that won't launch can't even be uninstalled....

This is a common issue with the new 'up'date. Nothing we can do but wait.

Ken, your suggestions did nothing.

Since you guys are having the same issues, I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering. This has ruined my holiday weekend.

Over under on how many days it will take for this to be fixed???

Yes, i'm having that problem too, the last version of the software (10.0.10586.1016) don't let me open apps and games, I hope microsoft fix this quickly is really annoying, I can't use my consol :/

I am having the same issue as well. Did two USB resets this morning to fix the issue. Console will work for a few hours then start being unresponsive.
