    Newly acquired Xbox Series X won’t work


    Got my series X yesterday after trying to get one for months now. Hooked it up and downloaded games with 0 issue last night. Finally get around to playing today for about an hour with no issues. Then I come back to play tonight and mid game I hear a pop and the console won’t turn back on. I assume it overheated but I honestly don’t know. The console didn’t feel overly hot and I put it in the same spot as my xbox one. So it’s not like I have it in a bad spot. I’ve tried using a different power cord, plugging it directly in the wall, power resetting and unplugging and replugging everything etc.

    I have no idea what else to do at this point I’m incredibly disappointed and just putting this out there in case someone else has an idea besides trying to get a replacement from Microsoft.

    I'm expecting Halo: Infinite, Cyberpunk, stuff that the newly (not so newly now though) acquired studios have been working on, and of course the Xbox Conosle reveal, and hopefully heaps more cool and exciting news and things to come.

    Xbox Series X - No 120HZ option on any resolution.

    I have same issue but with my Acer Nitro VG271 144Hz. Xbox series X won’t run at 120Hz 1080p. That must be problem with xbox series x because works perfect with Asus RX480 8GB (144Hz 1080p HDMI2.0). I am very dissapointed. 60hz is a joke.

    Yes all other games work just fine. But it seems that just gta won’t work. Ever since I tried to play it on my Xbox series x it has not worked. I don’t have the updated version of gta it is still the normal game but I looked it up and it said you can still play normal gta on Xbox series x.

    Most external drives won’t work on series X/S consoles due to transfer speeds.
