    Newest Alpha Update Adds Overwhelmingly Requested Quick Resume Feature


    The new update for Alpha lists:


    A much requested user-feature is being included in today’s update! Users will now have access to a new group that will show all current Quick Resume save states. Additionally, the Guide will now indicate if your actively running game supports Quick Resume.

    This is great news of course.

    By default the Quick Resume Group will be empty. It will populate with all your currently Quick Resumed games once you Launch a game you are Quick Resuming.

    The Quick Resume tag will show in the upper right hand corner when the Guide is opened while running a game just like the Auto HDR tag.

    Initially Microsoft said you will be able to Quick Resume "At Least 4" games. Implying that lower load games would result in being able to Quick Resume more than 4. After this update (most of my games being 2D indie games) shows that 4 is the cut off. So far at least. I will do more Testing.

    I can confirm at present that the currently running game doesn't count toward that Total. Though it will be added to the Quick Resume group once you launch it.

    Quick resume “feature”

    quicker zoom is built into every aspect of the system. Disabling it is being investigated but may not be possible

    All you have to do is quit the game before you shut down the system by pressing the start button and going to quit on the homepage

    Same problem here. Quick resume was quickly becoming my favorite feature & it worked fine before the latest update. Now It never works.

    Hi,

    This has actually already been requested over on the reddit platform, but you certainly add your comment there too.

    For the games I mainly play, quick resume works fine, but these are mainly single player titles. I can certainly see the issue you've been having with this on multi-player games.

    Seems odd that this feature isn't there yet. Afterall, features such as 'Auto HDR' are available per game. Wouldn't be hard to implement at all.
