    Newbie here. I have the trial gold membership. I can't get my Netflix or Zune pass to work, just keeps returning to upgrade to xbox live gold or sign in to existing account screen. Do I need to purchase the gold membership before these services will work?

    As long as it is a paid game yes

    Any games with gold for xbox one has to have an active membershio attached to it

    360 doesn't have that restriction

    If you paid for the games you get to keep them even if your subscription runs out. If they are the free games with gold games, you have to keep a gold subscription in order to play them.

    If you paid for the games you get to keep them even if your subscription runs out. If they are the free games with gold games, you have to keep a gold subscription in order to play them.

    After you have purchase Xbox LIVE Gold membership it normally takes 2-3 hours before working process is complete. You can speed up this process by download your Xbox LIVE profile.
