"Newbie setting up an Xbox One"

Okay..new to all this gaming stuff and have a question about setting up our new Xbox One. I have tried several different combinations of using our receiver with the HDMI cord and none of them work. The console just keeps flashing a blank screen and the
app. Our blu-ray player and Satellite work just fine. I should be able to just hook up the HDMI cord straight to the receiver without having to get a digital audio cable shouldn't I?

No. It would only work on the account it is purchased on.

So im a xbox newbie ... i only have one account, but multiple profiles ,,,, so then i could use the currency across profile?

well the HDMI OUT needs to go to the TV the HDMI IN needs to come from a source (Cable box etc) sounds like you have same path problem, trying to plug an out cable into an out

Well have two profiles to log into and sign into both go to the free play mode then yeah

The beginning was sweet, how the woods looked and it kind of set up the story for newbies like me. I'm very, very impressed with this game so far.

And only one console can be designated as home comsole on the non home console only the purchasing account can play the games but must be signed in onto xbox live

Now the gamepass issue

As mentioned it cant be shared however if you click install from the gamepass library the home consile users can install those on the home console

But they cant make purchases only the account with the gamepass can

Not sure if game pass can be shared but if you have xbox live gold you would only need one subscription on the xbox you designate as "Home" disc is easy to share so long as the disc is in the xbox that will be playing the game any user can play the game
freely because it is a disc. Downloaded is different and can be done the profile of the person who downloaded the digital game has to be on the same xbox with the person trying to play the digital game which is game sharing.
