Newbie - saved games on shared family xbox

Hi

We have one xbox and it came with Zoo Tycoon and a couple of other games. I set myself up and added the kids' existing Microsoft accounts. I installed the game and it appears for all users. So far so good.

I made sure the kids logged in when they wanted to play, however they seem to be both seeing the same saved game even though they logged in to the xbox separately and the active user is their own.

What am I missing here ? I would expect they would see their own games and not each others'. It could still be 'user error' if there aren't any obvious problems.

Based on what was said on the
Xbox Wire's post regarding game licensing:

The quote is intricately and perhaps a bit confusingly worded. "...and any
one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time." = You and a family member?

 

Are you sure your kids are using different accounts (it means different profiles and gamertags) when they log in to play in the xbox console?

 

Thanks for getting back. They do have different profiles and gamertags. What tends to happen is that one will start playing, then the other will come and watch. The XBox notices the second one and logs them in using Kinect. So we tend to end up with two
or three people 'logged in' although only one is the active user at the time. Could this be confusing the game ?
