New Xboxone using Turtle Beach X42 w/Microsoft adapter have very low chat volume

As stated in subject line, I can barely hear chat. I can barely hear it when in lobby and cannot hear at all while in a match. I have only played COD AW so far, but I do not think it is associated with the game. The X42's worked great the day before w/360.
I just need to find if there is somewhere on dashboard to adjust chat volume, I think. Thanks.

X42 and adapter

Hey I have the TB X42 and when I'm using the adapter i cannot figure out how to make the sound/chat sound good. I turn the volume on my headset up but then need to turn the chat volume up too. However there are the actual buttons on the adapter too. Can
someone please explain to me how to find a happy medium as far as game and chat volume go when using the adapter with my turtle beach please.

 

Xbox chat adapter chat and in game audio major issues

hello, I have a x42 ear force headset that is wireless that I bought for the 360 but I got Destiny for the One so I needed the chat adapter to be able to talk to people. It sounds great when the adapter is Not being used, however after plugging the adapter
in it all goes to to the crapper. (I did update the controller) I'm not even bothered by the chat going through the controller instead of the wireless receiver/transmitter which makes it sound very bad, no my problem is with the terrible balancing system and
I need some help with it. The issue is even with the chat volume on the turtle beach chat wire MAXED and the game volume on the turtle beach adapter completely off which shows me it doesn't even work with the adapter. People sounds extremely quiet, the game
volume WAY too loud and I can't even hear people when things are happening in the game. I tried "balancing" the chat/game audio all the way up to the max the chat can go and maxing the volume on the adapter master control however that makes the game volume
sound distorted and not even close to how my TV speakers sound. Is there any way I can get the game audio to use the turtle beaches transmitter like it should and only use chat through the adapter so I can actually lower game volume without totally [Mod Removed]

Hi PNEUMATICDRIL,

you might need to update the software on your controller for it to make full use of the adapter - that should allow you to alter game/chat volumes with the buttons on it. There are some steps to look at

here with details.

Ok I got it. I didn't understand the pics of controller and people on the controller. It seems that more and more instruction manuals do not like to use language to instruct. The thought of cave paintings by prehistoric man comes to mind. Maybe in the future
we will abandon language altogether and communicate via drawings and low grunts.
