    My new xbox refuses to perform the mandatory 510gb system update so I can’t even access the Xbox Home. It says at the bottom during the update “Sorry looks like our service isnt working right” but I checked the xbox live service status multiple times and
    all green, I’ve tried wired and wireless connection, hard reset many times, power cycle and even restored to factory settings. Plese tell me I havent bought a broken xbox.

    the majority of people are always online anyway when connected to Xbox Live ... as long as it doesn't mean you need an online connection to play then i don't see any difference between now and then. BUT ... if i have to connect to Xbox Live to even play
    a game, then I won't be a happy camper. and i'm sure a lot of others won't be either.
