    New xbox x,cannot install apps either


    Looked online and I see alot of people have the same problem.

    Just got a new xbox x yesterday.

    Apps such as YouTube,kodi will not install.

    Click on install and after a while I get a message saying installation has stopped

    Games install fine via gamestore ,ea and via disk,updates for them install too,its just apps..

    I'm hoping this is known and being looked at. Just a bit frustrating lol

    This is known and has been reported. All we can do is wait for a fix, many of us all in the same boat and know the frustration.

    Can I use an external harddrive to run my xbox?

    You cannot as external drives only allow apps and games to be installed on it for storage purposes.

    Best thing you can do is either get it replaced or get a new console.

    Windows 11 Xbox App can't launch apps

    The same thing does happen and I cannot install these games from the Microsoft store either. These games direct me to the Xbox App.
