    New Xbox won't startup


    I bought a brand new Xbox One S yesterday. Installed it, switched it on and it fails with Error 80072EE7 after trying to do its first update. Installed the offline update, system rebooted twice to go back to the initial screen and start updating again, which
    fails again.

    To me, this is a DOA and I will return it to the store tomorrow and demand a new one, I'm not going to wait for a repair.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hey there Koen,

    Sorry to hear you are running into problems so early in this experience. As the console is new and you are running into these problems then the best option would be to simply have the console replaced. Most retailers will allow you to swap out the console
    being that it is giving you issues and it is so new. There would be no reason to have to send in the console for a repair.

    Hey there -

    Your games and purchases are tied to the Xbox Live account used to purchase them. So provided you were signed into Dapper Daniels when you made the purchases, you'll be able to recover your games after a factory reset. I would start with the factory reset
    option and if that doesn't help, move to the >>offline system update<< option.

    do you have a service request number? I recommend returning the system to the store and exchanging it for another one
