New Xbox series x green screen and then switches off

I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your brand-new Xbox Series X console. No worries, let me help you sort this out.

Kindly try to perform the following workarounds:

1. Power Cycle

Turn off the console and then unplug all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

2. Factory reset keep my games and apps via the Xbox troubleshooter menu:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Press and hold the Pair button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button  on the console.

Note: The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on these consoles by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button .

Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.
Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.
The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

On your screen. You will need to select the "Reset this Xbox" option and choose "Reset and keep my games and apps".

Note: The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause you to lose your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

If the issue still persists, at this point I would highly recommend you contact the retailer where you purchased the console for a replacement request.

Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.

If you're stuck in the green screen, after rebooting from a stuck preview update, try a cold reboot. Press the Xbox logo, so the Xbox switches off, then switch off power supply. Leave it for a few minutes, then start it up. It worked for me, but stayed on
the green screen for about 10 minutes before finally starting proper. Hope that helps.

The problem started on my older Xbox series x I brought the abyss 4k from amazon.com as soon as it started playing it turned my screen green and pink????!!! Now every disc plays the same?! I even brought a new console same thing !!

Same issue since day one release. I have yet to get this to work with my Series X. I just shipped my Series X back today for GPU failure.

This feature still works fine with my Xbox One X Scorpio Edition.

Also on your Samsung TV, did your input change from the green Xbox to the blue generic "Game Console"? Mine did as if the TV does not recognize the device as an Xbox console. I can switch it out with my Xbox One X and the input icon changes back to the green Xbox.
