New Xbox S wont play my USB drive games

Discus and support New Xbox S wont play my USB drive games in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have a new Xbox One S, I have moved my USB drive with all my games installed on to it.     New Xbox S wont play my USB drive games


    I have a new Xbox One S, I have moved my USB drive with all my games installed on to it.

    When I do this I can see the games listed under Games and Apps as installed, but if I try and play them it takes me to the store, where it says Play

    Click play and it loops back to the same screen without playing the game.

    The only way I have found so far to make the games work is to uninstall them, re-download them and reinstall them on to the USB drive. Which is a pain.

    system media player wont detect usb disks/hdd

    after update my xbox one wont detect any usb flash drives ir external hdd.i use them for only movies.it wont detect my flash drive 16g usb2.0,wont detect my usb 3.0 1t hdd or my 1t usb 2.0 hdd..

    my computer and tv will detect them fine...did update messed up media player??

    New Xbox S wont play my USB drive games

    Did you make the new Xbox S your main home console in the consoles setting?

    That might solve your issue.

    Yes, I made the xbox one s my home console, this didn't make any difference.

    Tried a hard rest and no difference. The games show as installed you just can't play them.

    You need the liscences on your xbox one, same as the 360, theres 2 one for your GT and another for your console. When you promted to go to store download them again but first download your GT on your new xbox S. Reason its not working is your games contain
    the licence of your previous xbox, give that a try.
