    New Xbox Problems.


    Hey.

    I'm having trouble updating my xbox one, it's brand new brought it today. Unpacked it all, set it all up correctly went through the first 3 steps. Language, Location, network. But when i get to the update it gets up to 80% and comes up saying

    " there was a problem with the update "

    You need this to use your console, but something went wrong. For help visit
    xbox.com/xboxone/help.

    Now i've been to the website tried everything, nothing seems to work spent about 4-5 hours doing this! I need help ASAP please.

    Possible faulty controller, anyone else have this issue?

    Hmm, new xbox same problem, just don't get what's causing it. I've tried using play and charge kit to see if that's the problem. Next guess is its to do with the cupboard the xbox is in, never had a problem with ps3.

    Okay so i got past that part, now my disc tray isn't working. What the [Mod Removed] is wrong with this xbox!!

    there is no disc tray. just put the game in the slot and it will take it in

    Okay, I'm curious about what you said in your first post, about 3074 being the only port that's REALLY open? Would it be possible to try and open those ports again, to see if that opens things up? Also, have you asked your friends what they've done to establish
    their open NATs?

    What Country/State/Province do you live in? USA

    Modem brand & model number: no idea, it people won't tell me either

    Router brand & model number: personal router is a Netgear WPN824 v3

    Network Connection Type: Wired

    Things you have tried:

    Is UPnP Enabled? I'm assuming that UPnP is enabled for the dorm wide network.. I personally have tried enabling and disabling it on my router with no luck.

    Is NAT Type Open? No, see below

    Any Error Codes you encounter: none

    What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G? assuming T1, don't really think it
    matters

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Bellsouth.net

    After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen?

    Again, if I connect directly into the school network I get the error message saying my NAT is Moderate.. If I test while connected through my personal router I do not get the error message. In both situations I can't join anyone.
