    New xbox owner from Iran. Had some questions


    I was wondering is anyone knows anyone in USA that ships games to Iran? Like on ebay or anywhere else? If anyone could help me to get the word out so I find some help would be appreciated. Also a way to get giftcards too.

    Battlefield 3 has been banned.......

    In Iran that is.

    Apparently the game is now banned despite the fact the game has never officially released there.

    The reasons for the ban is that apparently people in Iran feel its another example of the west trying to drum up fear of Iran to lead an invasion there and consider it American and Western propaganda.

    No one tell them Dice are based in Sweden.

    Also on a politically relevant note Iran has thrown out the UK ambassador after the UK brought stricter sanctions on them, the UK has then thrown out some Iranian diplomats from the Iran embassy, and Iranians have stormed and looted the UK embassy claiming
    people from the UK should "leave us alone and go back to their own country" Willaim Hague has given a statement saying Iran has failed in its obligations to protect foreign embassies so the relationship will now be re examined.

    Anyway back to the game related point, what do you think about BF3 being banned in Iran.

    New Xbox One owner with some questions.

    if you purchase a movie.. it will save to your cloud drive... meaning you can stream it on the X1 or on a tablet.. or on a windows phone etc etc... it is YOURS.. even on a friends XB, if signed in.. the movie will follow you...

    as for the ON question... my XB has been turned off a total of maybe 10 times since I had it... (release day) Instant on setting is probably recommended as you will have updates automatically done... and anything you purchase remotely will auto DL

    Amazon and eBay are your best bet for international shipping, but shipping policies will vary between individual sellers.

    Iran doesn't appear to be a
    supported country     for Xbox Live, so you might not be able to connect to the Xbox Store (for digital downloads) or play multiplayer.

    Regarding the movie, it's stream only, so no, you can't download it. However, because you can stream it, you can access it from virtually any Windows-enabled device (and then some...) that can support both the Internet and video. ;)

    1 not as far as I know

    2 I know music apps can be run in the snap window for now. I've never used but other is a media player app available. Unfortunately you have to keep the snap open which reduces your game screen. But I hear they're working on a way around this.

    3 I had a day one console and never had a problem with instant on. I prefer it. Occasionally I will put it into power save mode if I'm going to be away for the weekend.

    4 the one does support external drives but I'm not sure how it manages movies or music files.
