    hey I've just purchased a new xbox one today. began setting it up and reached a page where the system requires updating before use. the system fails to update and I've checked my connection which is apparently good. I've reset the system as directed on
    the support website but with no luck. i can not update offline as i have no access to a windows based pc. I'm being told by customer support to return the xbox for a replacement. just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if a new xbox resolved

    brand new replacement console won't download the update.

    Lol really. Just sent my broke pos xbox one in, get a new one, update won't download. Thanks Microsoft!!! Your console is wonderful.

    Hi there,

    The best support guide for your issue is here, try the steps on here first and if not you would need to do an offline update like support have told you, does anyone else you know have access to a windows 10 PC with a USB stick you can borrow?

    There is currently a problem with Xbox Live Core Services...check back here later for an update:

    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

    It would be best to wait until you see the status go back to normal before attempting to update your console/profile.

    An update to Xbox Controller (has the 3.5mm port) on Xbox One via Xbox Accessories has effected it's bluetooth capabilities on PC

    There appears to be no post-warranty support for these Xbox Controllers with things boiling down to buy a new one.

    For obvious reasons; this won't do. The only solution is for my Xbox One console to prompt a new firmware update for the controller that fixes it.
