  1. New Xbox One update; Guide button setting suggestion (3/29/17)

So the new update for the Xbox One is pretty great, I like the way the dashboard looks now. But the one thing thats kinda bugging me is the way the guide button works now. ive had my Xbox one for Almost three years now and its been the same thing; Double
tap for the guide and single tap to go home. i've grown very used to operating my Xbox One that way and it disappoints me that this new update changed that. While I can see how its easier to get to all of your apps now and how it can be more convenient for
some but it would be nice if this was a toggle-able setting. let us choose how we'd like the guide button to operate. And if it is already a setting that I happen to miss, excuse my ignorance.

    :)

  2. 12 person party chat now available

So later today it started rolling out now, on the xbox one and windows 10, we will get access to 12 person party chat. (also note that your console will not update/ xbox app)

and here is some other stuff for people in the new experience

If you are in the New Xbox One Experience Preview, you’ll be getting an update later today that adds a few new features:

    • Party text chat adds more communication options. In the New Xbox One Experience, text chat joins voice chat as a way to communicate with your friends. At the bottom of the ‘Your Party’ page, you will see a button to ‘Show text chat.’ This will let you participate in the conversation. Party text chat will also come to the Beta Xbox App for Windows 10.
    • A streamlined Game DVR experience. We have combined the functionality of the Game DVR snap app and the former Upload app into one easy-to-use app called Game DVR. In full screen mode, you can use this app to view your game clips and screenshot captures. When snapped, you can use Game DVR to start or stop recordings.
    • New animated avatars. They are back and better than ever. You showed us that you are passionate about Avatars with many requests on Xbox Feedback. The new avatars will be animated on your profile and will start showing up in other new places in the new experience. If you prefer a gamerpic, you can easily switch your image.
    • Updated menu for quick access to common actions. The menu button on your controller lets you pin an app or game to Home, launch a recently played game, or quit an app or game with just the touch of a button.
    • Access new settings in the Guide. Adding to settings already included in the guide, like adjusting the headset volume, you can now turn your console off or restart your console directly from the Guide.
12-Person Party Chat now available for everyone (and on NXOE)

Xbox One: DVR not consistently recording

After all the updates, I am still having 12, 19, 17, a weird 1:25, 27, and 28 second records. None are exactly 30, most are 29. And I am sick of saying Xbox one record. Xbox needs a record button. Double tap the center button or something. At least an option!

I think it is actually good feature but in my mind it would be very useful feature if user had a choise to use it or not.

  5. It's beyond me why guide repeat the recently used ones, which are on home screen as well.

So more customizable dashboard all over is my wish.

And set other things like if you want recently used for anything or just games or apps or whatever you have a checkbox for - like pin to recently when used or similar.

Or remove it completely from home, and only have it on guide - so more space for pinned stuff - now you use almost half space for recently used in a huge size.

  6. Right and thats what I mean, if youre going to make an update that changes something that had nothing wrong with it, it should be just a matter of preference. You should not have to conform to the new way because 'they' say its better now.
