New Xbox One Slim

Xbox 1 has only been out fir a few months. I believe xbox 360 slim didnt come out til 2010 5 years after it launched I joined xbox late 2010. Prob have to wait at least a few more years... for a slim version. I agree the xbox 1 is fatter than my 360 slim
console.

 

Maybe in 2015, but this year would be too soon.

 

dx 12.... more cores working... more work.. more speed.. more heat... yeah..let me cram it into a small small box... and while I am at it.. throw the PSU in there as well... on sale in the XB store... the XB Griddle... cook your eggs while you play

Derek, I'm sorry, but you're making too many assumptions. You say it's obvious that people don't like it and state it as if it's a fact when it's clearly not - it's an opinion. I respect your opinion in this case, but I also respectfully disagree. I think
the design looks great, fits nicely along with my other entertainment devices, and has enough ventilation that I'll probably never have to worry about it overheating. If anything, making it smaller is just asking for hardware issues.

Don't use "M$" - it's often considered derogatory and has negative connotations associated with it - by using it, you may accidentally make someone who's "loyal" rather angry; instead, use "MS" - it works just fine and you can still get your point across
as to who you're talking about.

The word "loyalty" is also a word I'd be hesitant to use. There is no such thing as loyalty when it comes to a product - only whether you will buy it and/or use it or not. In this case, the only reason MS is fixing many of the issues is because they know
that it will draw in more new customers that will gladly pay them for the new features and updates, not necessarily to bring anyone "back" so to speak.

 

I liked the design on the xone.

 

I love the look of the X1, it is a cooling machine, its really made to perform. It's whisper quiet and doesn't get hot, brilliant.

My PS4 on the other hand gets hot.... and you can really hear it trying to cool itself....

 

Looking at my X1 and the cool glow of the X in the lower RH side..... yup..... neat...

No... I don't hate it's design... Obviously.

It's far from a VCR... I think someone's been listening to too many biased journo's slinging that old chestnut about.

Patience is dead... If DX12 makes a difference, this will push the hardware... Harder... Thus the more cooling the better. If it doesn't push the hardware... Then maybe a slim form factor would be viable. Time will tell.

The thing's been out a little over 5 months now... Next people will be moaning it's not got cup holders, GPS and a Slushy maker... In fact... Why doesn't it have a Slushy maker?

 

why would i want an anorexic xbox?

it was built big for a reason and the design is working as intended

 

I am afraid it can't happen until they make new tech to go from say 22nm to 16 or smaller. Will need several years for that to become cheap enough.

 

I am happy with Xbox One as it is.

If they did reveal a slim version this year I still wouldn't buy one for another few years yet.
