New Xbox One setup issue

unfortunately, if you create a child account for your son (so you can use the parental controls) he will lose all progress in games and will need to add his friends to the new profile.

but the good news is that you can make your Xbox your Home Xbox which will allow you to share your games and subscriptions without you having to be signed in.

I would also recommend setting a new pass key on your account so that he can't sign in to your profile to bypass set time limits

Most hotels have firewalls in place. You would need to speak with them to get the console connected properly.

You went in to Gamestop to troubleshoot and they did exactly what, to troubleshoot your issue?

Did they connect your console to their network, to try and update the system?

Regarding your hotel's Wi-Fi network, do you need to authenticate with username/password, using your computer, to be able to access your hotel's Wi-Fi network and the Internet-at-large?

I'm having the same issue .Originally had it setup with my windows 10 xbox account. But the kiddo wants to play with... Been getting the error since I logged off it .

*short term fix that's working for me...created a second psn user. And used a new Xbox account(free quick setups). Was able to connect one that one with the new Xbox account. Not optimal. Hopefully a fix with be in the near future.

Yep, just transfer it over to your external hdd and transfer it back onto the xb1 s, it's what I did when I went from a normal 500gb xb1 to my elite.

The only thing is the game saves, they are on the cloud. When you go on to the new console you will find that your game saves will have to download whenever you start a game for the first time on your new console. It isn't a long process but it's something
to be aware of, I kept forgetting about it so I'd go to play an old game that I hadn't played for a while and find that I had to re-download my save, it's a small irritation.

You won't need anything like the xb360 transfer add on.
