    new xbox one set-up issue


    Hi,

    Just plugged in my new XBOX One.

    On power on it takes a while after which it shows the green ' XBOX One ' screen, and immediately shutdown afterwards :-(

    Any tips on remediating this?

    New set up

    Greetings! Welcome to Xbox.

    For some games, you need to be signed into an Xbox LIVE account to play, especially if it is an online game.

    Xbox LIVE is free if you want a silver account. Xbox LIVE Gold can be purchased, and allows you to play with others, join parties, and more.

    New set up

    We just set up a new xbox one. When we put in a game to play says you have to sign into xbox live! Thought if you were playing single player you do not have to.

    Also, do you have to buy xbox live? this is all new to us

    Are you sure it's shutting down? After the initial green screen it will go to a black screen the go to the set up. Give it a few minutes to start up. It may look like it's shut down but it's just loading.

    Ok. I might be too impatient... I think it's shutting down as the white xbox indicator on the console turns off and the color indicator of the power supply changes from white towards orange.

    Is this normal behavior?

    Thank you for the update. Let's then reset your console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
    Select Reset console.
    Reset and keep my games & apps.
    I had already did that my problem is after I did it now goes from choose connection and then it just goes back to What variety of English (photo attached for your reference)
