    New Xbox one S 2tb model - occasionally freezes,then shuts down


    Hi guys

    had to contact Microsoft today to report and book in my new Xbox one S 2tb for a repair. Over the last few weeks , it's been freezing and the tv makes a strange sound before it shuts down. It can go days without issues, and then just 20 mins of game play
    or watching tv and it does it.

    I think it's a power fault.

    anybody else had or heard of this problem?

    Hello, My Xbox one s , will sometime freeze and shut down. I do not think it is heat none of the vents are blocked and it sets in a open area. Some times it will stay up and running for hours, while on The TV tuner or games then it shuts down. I can cut
    it back on seconds after it shuts down.

    4K Pass-through on Xbox One S?

    Can confirm this is the case here, too. Doesn't work with Sky Q or any 4K-output device.

    TV Model and manufacturer: Samsung KS9000

    First time i have heard of this im picking up the new Gears Xbox S myself soon and hope that this problem you have had is a one off.

    Same exact issue for me. Xbox One S and every 45 minutes or so it freezes then shuts the console down. Only game that does it while being able to play other games all day. I have a 2tb external hard drive plugged into the USB but that's never caused an issue before. Very aggravating when I've been building in my park for 5min and then suddenly freeze and shutdown and the autosave hasn't happened for 5 minutes and i haven't done a hard save for even longer. Anyone with answers?
