New xbox one preview program update issue

I have recently started the update for the new xbox one dashboard, everything worked fine till about 60-70% of the "applying update" stage, once I have reached around that % the update no longer progresses and stays frozen. GT: Ben the emperor

A new update of the Xbox One is in preview; improves the party chat

Please note that Microsoft has just released a new update for the participants in the Xbox preview programme One; as mentioned previously, for December are not particularly important updates, and this goes to settle some issues relating to the group chat. As always, who is part of the preview can download it manually from the system settings and then take part in the various tests/surveys provided by the program's preview app.

New dashboard question

so I have two Xbox ones in my house, mine and my sons
I am in the preview program only and my son is not in any programs
He turned his Xbox on today to see an update which was strange since we both have instant on
He now has the new dashboard and I'm on the original one
How did his Xbox one get update when he isn't in any preview programs? And why is making be not update?

Having the same issue. Have followed directions of fellow forum posters to restart the Xbox but I am just getting the same problem over and over. Has anyone tried unplugging the Xbox during this problem?

Unplug from power socket 30 seconds plug back in power console back up, It will appear to complete the update, Then land on a system update available screen.

Attempt update again if it hangs again do a hard reboot it may take a few reboots to complete.

If you can use the preview forums as you will find all the help you need.

I dont have this problem, i have other one, i cant sign in to my live account on the dashboard, any solution?

I had this problem as well and called support. They sent me to this forum. I have been reading a lot about it today and it seems that if it gets stuck loading, you should just do a hard restart after 20m after you inplug any external drives. It took me 2
times of doing so before mine worked and I got my update. Unfortunately now it seems that I can't login. It also isn't showing that it is connected to Xbox live. I have yet to figure out if this was due to the update and is a software problem, or if I had
everything deleted off my hardware because I was told by support to try hard resets and power cycles.

I just logged into Xbox live and all my stuff turned out ok. So the hard restart worked. Unplug your drives first though.

It didn't work I think it's got something to do with the preview program due to the latest update I got on my Xbox one that was sent with me being in the preview program that is causing the issue... My roommate doesn't have an issue on his Xbox one with
backwards compatible games and he isn't in the preview program

You're good to access the
Xbox One Update Preview forum now. Head on over there and if you're still seeing Group Not Found when you try to access the forum, create a new thread letting us know.

Be sure to keep in mind that the New Xbox One Experience is part of the Update Preview program which gives users access to updates before they are publicly released. Because the NXOE is still in development you may still run into issues, which you can report
through the Xbox One preview app or through the Xbox One Update Preview forums which will help the with the development before official release.

The Wireless Display App is available within the Preview Program for the Xbox One.

Are you in the Preview Program? If not, that's why you cannot find the Quest as Quests is a Preview Feature that enables members to test new functionality through "quests".

You need to be invited by somebody who is already in the Preview Program. More information about the Preview Program

Hi, there is currently an issue regarding content that is purchased on an Xbox One that is a part of the preview program not being playable on an Xbox One that is not a part of the preview program, could that be the problem ?

• Certain content (games, apps, DLC) purchased in the new Store may only be available on consoles enrolled in the latest Preview update. This means…

• Games purchased on a console running the latest Preview update can only be played on that console or other consoles running the latest Preview update.

• Games purchased via Xbox.com can be played on any console.

• Games purchased on a console running the previous update can be played on any console.
