    New Xbox One not visible to cast apps


    New XBOX is set up. Barely played yet. Downloaded Showbox to my phone (Samsung s7), to cast to the XBOX. When I watched several YT tutorials, it was suggested I DL a cast app as well. I tried All Connect and a couple of others, but weirdly (I was tired at
    the time), I swear the xbox showed up once, then didn't appear when searched for by these apps. at the later stages of setting it all up.



    I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the apps to no avail. The XBOX is definitely connected to the same wifi network.



    It only displays the ROKU stick as a visible device. I'm using the console on an 'old' (i.e. not SMART) TV, which means 1 HDMI socket where I usually have the ROKU stick in / interchange with the XBOX lead. Have bought and am waiting for a splitter to arrive.



    Any advice or solution, greatly needed! Thanks.

    Playto on Xbox 360 E don't work

    1. I activate (DLNA) on my Xbox ( set Playto to on)

    2. I use the same wifi in my Xbox and in my iPhone (iOS 10.2)

    3. Xbox System is aktuell

    But I can't connect my iPhone on DLNA : Cast Symbol in YouTube Not visible . I can connect youtube only on tvcode and Not on wifi. The Cast App (TVs Cast (DLNA) ) can't recognize my Xbo too..

    Please help me!

    Pinned apps disappear from home screen on Xbox One

    Mine just don't appear to be working properly at all at the moment.. normally they're just not visible. If I add a new one, different random apps that used to be pinned will appear. There is defo a bug here. Interestingly, they all seem fine on my smartglass
    apps.

    Cast to Xbox one not working

    Pressing the "B" button on the game pad causes the Movies & TV app to remove the "connecting" screen, and the video then becomes visible.

    The bug does not seem to happen if the Movies & TV app is already running before you start casting. So, as another work-around you can start the Movies & TV app on the Xbox One first.

    I can't connect local cast app with my Xbox one

    They are referring to the Local Cast app for Android. I am also having this problem not only woth local cast but any app that has the casting ability. Netflix, youtube, etc... are no longer seeing the xbox one on the cast to device list like it used to.
    Was there an update that removed this feature of casting directly to the xbox??

    This isn't true. Xbox supports "DLNA / UPnP" which are universal protocols. It doesn't matter what software I use to cast, Windows, IOS, etc. As long as the casting app is compliant to the UPnP/DLNA protocol then the Xbox should be able to play casted content.

    Are you saying that the Xbox one is no longer DLNA/UPnP compliant and therefore no longer supports this protocol after the update?

    I am an app developer for one of the 3rd part apps that cast to Xbox One. What changes specifically need to be implemented in my app to account for the Xbox One no longer being UPnP/DLNA compliant?

    Is it possible to prevent Xbox One X from automatically disabling HDR when casting to PC?

    I was experimenting with the built-in cast feature. With the Xbox companion app or thirdy-part app such as Onecast allows you to cast wirelessly.
