New Xbox One Kinect Policy

I couldn't be happier that that Kinect is no longer a requirement for Xbox One. I have been on the fence about getting a console from this generation and this just made my decision that much easier. Although I liked the idea of the Xbox One being
an entertainment hub for my home, I didn't like the fact that it cost an additional $100 in order to get that functionality. I don't have cable so many of the features that I would get with the Xbox One that has Kinect wouldn't even apply to me. I'm just
waiting for Forza 5 Game of the Year Edition to come out and I'll pull the trigger.

The only thing that I want to see changed, as of right now, is the ability to swap hard drives. I would LOVE to drop a 1 TB SSD into the Xbox One when I get it in a few weeks. The ability to hook up external drives, like the 360 allowed, would be
great too!

You can hook up a 1 TB external hard drive to the One. I am a "Day One Xbox One Adopter" and my biggest "fear" for Kinectless users is that the majority of the OS commands are made MUCH easier using voice commands. "Xbox record that" "Xbox snap XYZ"
"Xbox pause" Without the Kinect, all of that functionality is lost.

 

Yea Larz...WE DID IT.. We stuck it to the man and now we get an xbox without Kinect. People said it wouldn't happen, they said it couldn't happen, they said it shouldn't happen. Well screw those people! I want an xbox that plays games, I don't need it to
be my friend that makes COD montages, nor do I have attention deficit disorder and need to watch TV and play games at the same time. I know where my TRUE xbox controller is therefore I can press a button to turn on my Xbox. Down with Kinect! Our voices have
been heard.
