New xbox one issues with connecting to xbox live.

used to have xbox 360 (Worked fine) but upgraded to One. Plugged in snd had to update straight away. This took ages. I down loaded World of tanks which took 10 + hours. Managed one game then i was kicked off live. Could not log back in. Tried re starting
with power disconected snd removing my profile. But then cannot even get to the re log in screen as states there was a problem.

As it was a new system i have just reset factory settings. So first thing im asked is there is an update. But i cannot do that as connecting issue. Check connection and the same message that mine is good with xbox service issues??

You might have better luck in 02 - Connecting to Xbox Live on Xbox 360 they deal with First time connecting to Live, connection issues, NAT errors and more.

 

I would try a different network if possible , a friend's maybe....the router you are using is the problem I believe...

 

My Xbox one was working perfectly until my xbox live stopped I already renewed xbox live serveral days ago and now it's not working

 

You have to determine if it's your network or your xbox.....only way I know to do that is try your Xbox on a different network or try a different xbox on your network...that brand of router has known issues with xbox. ...

 

Think im getting there. As you say router/modem appears at fault. Shut both xbox and modem diwn un plugging both power supplies and left for 30 plus minutes. I then re started but with ethernet cable. It worked.

Im now re checking trying to use the wifi. Ill also try a old modem but this has a small external arial as opposed to the internal one.

The messages on rhe xbox state no issue with your connection but i think this gives the wrong info.
