New Xbox one interface sucks ! Plz discuss your opinion below.

Honestly since they updated the operating system or whatever I really haven't been enjoying my time on the dash. Here are some of my complaints:

-it's slow

-it may be pushing ppl to buy an Xbox one X

-I'm never looking at things I wanna be looking at

-it may be really add driven

-not pretty

-not fluent

-etc

Please talk about your feelings towards it because I already miss the prior setup. I'm really hoping for a change to something smooth and simple in the near future.

New Xbox One User Interface

Hey guys, I believe that the Xbox One should replace the current User Interface. I loved the Xbox 360 interface.

Benefits of the Xbox 360's UI:

-Avatar, Avatar Store

-Better gamer pictures

-Party chat was better

-Friends list was better

-Profile was better

I am not necessarily saying that we should bring back the 360 interface as it was. Maybe bring it back but an updated version of it. I think Microsoft should just swallow their pride and admit that the Windows 8 interface wasn't that great.

Market Place problems

In the new interface, we can't search a game... It just arcade game already out, and other game like that, but we don't have the old "search a game" by style, name, etc. It could be nice if you could put that in your xbox interface plz. I'm searching "Guardians
of Middle-Earth" and it's doesn't exist on xbox live market place.

I spend about 5 seconds in the menu. During the brief bits of time there, never really had any problems. Wish you the best, as we aren’t going back (if you liked previous versions). Also, suggest you go to the feedback section so as to give constructive
ideas for future improvements.

 

Who spends time on the dash? Play a game! Also, I'm pretty sure no one has decided they need an Xbox One X because of the dash.

 

Since 'day one' MS has been removing features slowly over time. It started with knect and on it went to other features like Snap and these day's dash layouts/features.

I think, as I have since 'day one' that the X1 and X1-S, isn't able to. "Chew gum and walk at the same time." Thus, in an effort to run games at decent frame rates etc, they had to free up some cores. But not make it obvious.

 

I do enjoy the argument of "it doesn't affect me so it shouldn't bother you either," that many people employ.

Why would people spend time on the dashboard? Browsing for apps or games that are no longer on their most frequent list. Installing apps or games from their My Games & Apps section. Perhaps they want to browse the latest offerings on the Mixer, Community, Entertainment,
or Store panels.

It really isn't unreasonable for people to want options that Microsoft add to the console to run well. Personally speaking apart from the occasional bit of stutter I don't find the current incarnation of the dashboard to run that terribly, I tend to put issues
I am having down to being in the Preview Program.

Not fluent. My only issue is that you just can't move the analogue stick to the side and have the mini-dash popup any more. I find that really annoying for some reason.

Advertisement driven is a weird choice for you to make. Microsoft really designed the Xbox 360 dashboard around delivering adverts over console functions but the current Xbox One dashboard bucks that trend with minimal ads and console functions presented first
and foremost to the user.

 

No issues with it myself.Runs much faster then it used to but then again I don't spend much time on the dash.I use my console to play games.
