New Xbox One from start in wrong language help!

The language and location settings allow you to change the language display information of your console. If you move to a different time zone or region, you should update your console settings here.

The Spoken language setting determines the language that will be used for voice commands, while the Keyboard language setting determines the language in which you type.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully get your console up and running as expected. I can totally understand how this could bamboozle anyone. I suggest following the steps to bring up the start up troubleshooting menu as outlined
in Xbox One System Update Solution. After it's done preparing the console, it should ask what county or region that you're located and adjust the
language accordingly.

Are you referring to an Xbox 360, Xbox One or Series X|S?

If this is on one of the newer consoles, you can change the language in Settings > System > Language & location (in Spanish, it should look something like Configuración > Sistema > Idioma y ubicación), then in the list select the preferred language that you’re fluent in. A restart is required so that the changes properly take effect.

You have to return it where you bought it and say that it was the wrong language. They should give you a new one for free.
