New Xbox One first update stopping?

So i just purchased an xbox one and i was doing the normal first system update. at 18 percent i got a message saying something went wrong with the update. I tired to re download and it wouldn't let me. I clicked on check network connection and it made me
enter in my network password again. after doing that the download resumed and finished no problem. Wondering what might of happened and why i had to re renter my network password again? just want to make sure nothing is wrong with my brand new console. thanks

i will get it.. i dont seewhy not. guess i will have to try and find the update in system as you manually have to download it.

Your console is fine. You just had an issue with an update. There was an Xbox One (Xbox live) service alert when you posted. Everything will be alright, thus happens now and again

 

Ok so as far as hardware in my new xbox one there is no kind of issue i should be aware of or should i return it for another new one at the store? just don't know what might of caused it? have you guys experienced anything like this before?

Ok thank you. just wondering why it stopped though and made me re enter my network password? how do you know 100 percent its not a hardware/xbox one issue? just curious

 

I have done tons of live chats with users experiencing this issue. As well as personally having dealt with this issue before. Re-inputting your password is not a sign of a "hardware" issue.

This does happen from time to time. Sometimes you need to do a full power cycle to get things going. While the console is on, hold the power button down for 5+ seconds until it shuts off to force a full power cycle. If you still have issues updating check

Hey NxtDoc- so having this issue occur this soon with the xbox one how is it different than experiencing this with the 360? also, by having to "re type" my password in how does that exactly mean it has nothing to do with hardware? thanks
