New Xbox One Experience (NXOE) Network Crashing, Requiring Factory Reset

As part of the Xbox Preview Program, I was granted early access to the New Xbox One Experience (NXOE). Unfortunately, the new dashboard has rendered my console useless and I am requesting that Microsoft help me out as I've called them several times already
    to no avail.

    Problem:

    1. Xbox One Connection Error: "There's a hardware problem. Sorry, the wireless network hardware on this console isn't working. You'll need to send it in for repair. To do this, visit xbox.com/xboxone/repair."

    2. I reset Xbox One to factory defaults (formats the entire hard drive, deleting everything).

    3. I setup Xbox One as if for the first time.

    4. Xbox wireless network adapter connects to the internet / Xbox Live (disproving section 1).

    5. I launch/install any application, game, or setting and Xbox One crashes.

    6. Xbox One restarts itself and displays error in section 1.

I repeat these steps until I'm too frustrated and give up. I've recorded myself recreating this as it is 100% repeatable and does this every time.

    Please help!

    Thanks

    :)

    I.E constantly crashing.

Thanks for the info! The next step we can try is
Factory Restoring your Xbox One console
, however I strongly recommend holding out for the NXOE update coming out in 6 days to see if that clears up any issues so that we can avoid restoring your Xbox One console.

Hang tight and let us know if the issue persists after the New Xbox One Experience is live! New Xbox One Experience (NXOE) Network Crashing, Requiring Factory Reset :)

I would restore it one more time but use a wired connection this time and bypass the wireless all together...

Thanks for the reply, but I am not near my router and using a wired connection is not possible in my Xbox's location.

  6. Then I would temporally move the xbox to where the router is and hook it up with a short cable and tv , just to see if you can get it back up ....then move it back ...surely that is "possible" ....or take to a friends house and test it there...or temporally
move the router in the same room as the xbox maybe? what kind of isp you got?

Hmm, i appreciate your responsiveness, but I'm looking for an official Microsoft solution to the wireless network adapter failure. Even if it were to work using the wired method, I would just need to unplug it and bring it back to my television for it to
    fail again.

That's kind of like saying, "Your laptop's internal wireless network adapter failed, instead of finding a viable solution, just plug it in and sit by your router every time you'd like to use it."

no , its not like that at all , its trouble shooting , if it works wired or if it still craps out...and if it restores itself properly on a wired connection it may correct itself on the wireless...I doubt you will get anything from MS since the NXOE is a
beta basically and you kinda agreed that you would be ok if things like this happen...(which nobody ever is , including me )...

    Hi JFaugs!

The steps Bimnog provided are definitely helpful. Be sure while in the preview that you head over to the
Xbox One Update Preview forum for questions and support. You should have access over there but if you still can't click that link let us know.

  10. Dude, you should *never* cover up the fan. Not saying that is your issue, but putting that heat generating cable box on top of the xbox vents that are already pushing out a lot of heat...certainly wasnt helping it
