New Xbox One Controller RB Only Works When Pushed Firmly

Goatsnatcher, thanks for your reply. But if you have read my previous posts you would know that this is not the problem.

My RB works just fine, click and everything. My LB barely makes a sound, and only reacts when pushed hard down. My RB is very sensitive, while my LB makes allmost no sound and has to be pushed hard to react.

On my other controller it is the opposite button.

Firstly I would firmly but not too hard try pushing the controller together- I've had one in the past that arrived slightly separated and pushing it together forced it to clip back in

If they fails, I would contact Microsoft support and see if they can swap your controller for a new one without having to go through the place you purchased where they will likely want the whole console back

Try pushing the RB (right bumper) on your controller..

RB should function as black button

LB should function as white button

I had this problem. I found on another forum that the HDMI cable wasn't pushed into the Xbox the whole way. Try pushing it in firmly while holding onto the front of the box. It worked for me!

Hello,

Make sure you FIRMLY push the cord into the socket. If the cord is effecting the console and making it loose power your best bet is to return the console and get a new one.
