New Xbox one Controller D pad issues

I've had D-Pad issues with multiple xbox one controllers from the normal black, the CoD AW version and most recently the special edition lunar white. Very frustrating.

Unfortunately, I think the only solution for your issue is to purchase another controller unless your current controller is still under warranty (90 Days).

I am also having an issue with the down button on the dpad of my xbox one controller being very unresponsive unless I apply a LOT of pressure on it.

It's from the Halo Master Chief Collection bundle.

Any fixes for this?

 

I bought the Tomb Raider Holiday Bundle and second day playing NHL16 I heard a click and the down on the left thumbstick was very unresponsive, I went and bought an individual controller so I could still play while I resolved this and two days later same
exact issue with that one. Brutal.

Hey guys! I am having the same problem with my controller from the Gears of war 500gb bundle. First of all the box says it is the version with the 3.5mm jack....well the one i received does not have it...but I'm over that issue. The real problem is the left
button on the dpad. It just started acting weird and registering 3-4 presses at once now its just not registering any at all unless I put alot of pressure on, which of course I am trying to avoid. This is a system brought a couple weeks ago for Christmas.
Can anyone assist?.

 

I have a silver Halo 5 3.5mm controller. I already sent my original one that came with my console in for having a back button that I had to press hard to work and a more obnoxious messed up d-pad that would either not register or multiple click to the right.
I paid to ship it to the service center, which I thought was ridiculous but I wanted it done. I got my new one after a few weeks of waiting and it's already got the same problem only it's pressing left that screws up. Is there something obvious I'm missing
to fix this, or are these really that defective? Pretty upsetting regardless.

 

I'm having the same dpad issues with two controllers purchased in July.

Is this something I can fix?

Dang, I have the DPad issue, too. I thought it was just normal and went back to an older console's controller. Any tips on how to fix it?

 

If it helps any, it was a Covert Forces controller, as well, gotten from walmart not that long ago. Right DPad inputs require quite a bit of pressure to use or be detected.
