New xbox one audio adapter PLEASE HELP

For my 360 I had to use the audio adapter cable, not sure it was cause my xbox was a really old one or my TV doesnt have audio out most likely think it was so i could play in HD but anyways, I recently purchased a cable that allowed me to plug my turtles
into the bottom of my xbox one controller, (basically the original microphone that comes with the xbox but modified), however i was not receiving any sound from my turtles. The guy i purchased it off said they were working fine when he tried it. Does anyone
know if the new cable coming out will solve my problem? or is it my television not having audio out causing the problem?

The lead I had in order for my turtle beach's to work on my xbox 360 was called a "RCA Audio Cable Adapter" purchased from amazon.

If someone could help i would be grateful.

I have turtle beach's X12's by the way.

    :)

  2. Help. No sound from Comcast television whatsoever...

I have my Comcast routed through my XBOX ONE via HDMI pass through. Although the XBOX ONE works perfectly and has great audio, my Comcast does not have any audio whatsoever.

Xbox One Headset Adapter Game Audio

Posted this in the accessory category, but no one answered so...

I recently bought an Elgato HD60 to record gameplay, but in order to record party AND game audio (bring back party chat through game audio) I need to use the game audio through the headset adapter. The problem is the game audio CONSTANTLY cuts in and out
and is VERY low quality. I've tried resetting my Xbox, unplugging adapter, etc. nothing works. On the brightside the chat audio has worked great. Is my adapter defected? Please answer!

BTW using Turtle Beaches XP400 with the Xbox One Headset Adapter

New xbox one audio adapter PLEASE HELP

When you say you're not receiving any sound from your Turtle Beach headset do you mean voice or game audio? It's likely that the adapator you bought isn't compatible with the Xbox One, hence why you're not getting any sound.

Microsoft are releasing an official adaptor sometime within the next month that (as far as I can tell) should do what you want it to do. You can find it here:

I'm assuming he means no game sound whatsoever. What you purchased was most likely the part where the Xbox One headset plugs into the controller, just modded to allow you to plug in other headsets. This will only give you chat, but not actual game sound.
I believe the Xbox One only has an optical audio output, so if you want to hook up a headset but your TV doesn't have an audio output then you'll have to get something to convert the optical to RCA/composite cables. You can find adapters on amazon to do the
job, and there's also the Turtle Beach DSS processor box that has optical inputs (they were highly overpriced at around $80 when I bought mine, but amazon seems to have used ones listed under $20 now, with the DSS2 selling for over $70. They're good, but not
    worth $70).

    Hope that helps.

xbox one stereo compressed or bitstream out help headsets

    Hi MessiahBrowny,

    Please see this
link on how to configure you audio
. That said, the audio settings here will not effect the Microsoft Stereo Headset adapter in any way. The stereo headset adapter is just stereo. What you're referring to is settings for your home audio receiver, if you
have one of those at all.

    Hope this helps!

    Headset ?

To answer your question yes, but please read the whole post: Turtle Beach said:

Please note that you will need to connect this headset to the stereo outputs from your TV or audio receiver for game audio and use the Kinect® for game chat with Xbox One.

    www.turtlebeach.com/.../344

    Microsoft says:

The following 3.5-mm audio headset types are supported:

A single 3.5-mm audio cable headset.

A dual 3.5-mm audio cable headset with 3.5-mm CTIA audio cables.

A headset with chat audio provided by a 3.5-mm audio cable and game audio provided by a separate cable with RCA or optical connectors. (Only chat audio will be enabled through the Stereo Headset Adapter. For RCA/optical connectors [game audio], follow the
manufacturer’s instructions to connect to the console.)

An Xbox 360 Wired Headset with a 2.5-mm audio cable. Connect to the Stereo Headset Adapter by using the 2.5-mm-to-3.5mm adapter that’s included with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.

Take a look here and let me know if this helps

    daviddocrogers.com/.../how-to-configure-astro-headsets-with-xbox-one

    For Astro A40 users:

Configuring the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter

By default, the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter will output both game audio and voice audio which will render the mixer on the MixAmp unusable. Follow the below steps to set the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter to only output voice audio which will correct
    this.

    1) Set the mixer on the MixAmp to full voice audio.

    2) On the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, hold down the chat audio button until you can no longer hear game audio and can only hear voice audio.

    3) On the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, hold down the plus button until the voice audio no longer increases.

That’s all that’s to it! You will now be able to use the microphone from your A40 or A30 Headset on your Xbox One and the mixer will work as intended allowing you to mix between game audio and voice audio with ease. Should you have any further questions
regarding the A40 or A30 Audio System and Xbox One, please feel free to post them on this thread and we’ll respond as quickly as possible with an answer for you.

You can read the full post over at the Astro Gaming Forums!

    Other Notes:

[Update:] After spending the day with the headset adapter I can confirm that the above configurations do work. You will have no issue with your Astro headsets working with the chat adapter. I tested the Xbox One headset adapter with 2011 versions of Astro
A40 headsets. Game audio and voice audio sound great, I can’t wait for my new headsets to come in hopefully in time for Titanfall!

In their forum post they mention to set your optical out to Stereo Uncompressed. I believe this step is now unnecessary because the Xbox One does indeed support Dolby Digital Surround Sound through the optical out. This forum was posted before the Preview
Program went live. I’ll keep this post updated if anything changes or becomes confirmed.
