  1. New Xbox - No sound output

I was recently given a new 360 Slim to use instead of my old arcade xbox. With my old arcade, everything was working perfectly. However, after I setup the Slim using the exact same HDMI cable and port as my arcade, I noticed when testing the kinect sensor
during initial setup that there was no sound. The test ended and it suggested I turn up my volume and restart the test. I ignored it and skipped that since I rarely use my kinect anyways, but when I downloaded my profile and started my game, i noticed there
was still no game volume. I thought maybe I had accidentally hit mute, so I muted and unmuted my tv. Still no sound. Then I had a wild idea that my speakers were not working. So I changed from the video output to a random channel. I could hear the episode
loud and clear. I've looked at other posts and tried their suggested ideas, but none worked. Remember this is an Xbox straight from the box, using a HDMI cable that worked earlier today.

    :)

Sounds like the Toshiba is not liking the audio setting of your console. Try to select another option from the sound setting on the console and see if you then get sound.

Also what model Toshiba TV is it, See if this might be something with the TV and the Xbox working together.

Are there any other HDMI ports that you can try as well; I know on my TV one of the HDMI says PC and the rest are normal HDMI ports. But the TV could be doing something some different encoding on the port.
