    New XBox, New Idle issues


    One of the lucky community who got an Xbox Series X without intending to sell it for a crazy markup.... Unfortunately as with the Xbox One and One S, the new console is retreading the life of its predecessors with having idle issues when streaming video...

    After 5 years of making this function as problematic as it has been, why wont Microsoft just let us turn it off or give us a reasonable option for duration - as they have with auto turn-off?? 60mins is not enough....

    Im fed up with keep having to turn on my controller to remind the xbox that im still watching the NFL..... Microsoft, can you finally give in to the community requests on this function, fed up with having to keep waiting for the app (NFL, Netflix, every
    other streaming service) developers to update every time you change something.

    As I said in my first post I have messed with the idle settings and they do not fix it.

    Also this is a brand new Xbox, why would I need to factory reset it?

    Minecraft "for windows" won't install on new launcher.

    Its no longer available on the new windows 11 Microsoft Store. Got any other ways to get past idle?

    Hi

    Can you try removing the Blu Ray player app on the console then carry out a full console restart by holding the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds and re install the app to see if this helps with the problem you are having. If this does
    not help with the problem you could try increasing the amount of time before automatically shuts down in

    Power mode & startup    .

    Nothing seemed particularly loud when setting mine up. Its idling pretty quietly now downloading the new CoD game.
