New Xbox, lost Live

I recently purchased a new Xbox One S. I previously owned a regular Xbox One, and I had a Live subscription. For some reason, when I attempt to access live on the new Xbox, it says that I do not have access. I do not believe this is a network error. I was
hopeful that this issue would resolve itself, however it has been several days now and nothing has changed.

Am I correct in understanding that if one person in an Xbox Family purchases Live, all members of that Family have access? I was not the account that the Live subscription was redeemed on, however I have never had an issue when transitioning between my friends'
systems. For instance, one of my friends did not have Live, but he gained access when I signed in, even though my account was not the one the subscription was redeemed on. Why am I having an issue now? I still have full Live access on my old Xbox, as well
as my friends' systems. What is the problem?

Power cycle the console using these steps: http://xbx.lv/1ylg26E
Then sign back in and see if your able to use Xbox Live Gold features.

Not entirely. If one person has gold on their account and sets a console as their Home console, all other profiles on that console will have access to gold. Gold is not shared through family settings. So you would either need to purchase gold through your
account or the person who had the old console set as their Home would need to set your new console as their Home.

If you are talking about Xbox Live Gold, unfortunately, Xbox will not be able to provide you with a new code if you lost it.
