New Xbox Live account due to harassment

I've been harassed on Xbox live games on/off for the last bit. The downstreamed company who operates the games is taking forever to take any action and its made playing really frustrating. In the past I changed my gamertag but the person found it -- they had an old xbox chat with me that showed me gamertag change -- so changing the gamertag isn't going to work for me.

I'm now considering just creating a new Xbox live account and starting from scratch so that these users can't find me. I would like to understand how that would impact everything else bound to this account (I couldn't find a simplified list anywhere). I believe all of my achievements etc. would remain with the old account and that's fine as I don't care much for those. I do have my xbox set up so that all users (and i'm the only one of it) can play all of the games and applications installed so that won't be an issue. Am I able to cancel my current Xbox Live subscription, get a refund and move it to the new account, or just simply have it ported over to the new account?

Any advice on making this the least painful transition possible?

If the subscription is still within the first 30 days, you may be able to cancel and refund at http://account.microsoft.com and then purchase a new subscription on the new account. Alternatively, the Home setting would also allow you to access your subscription on a new account, but benefits like Games with Gold or discounts on purchases would only be available with your old account.

Thank you for the reply. I've read that it is possible for the gaming company itself to unlink their account for you and relink it to the new Xbox Live profile so that you can access all of your characters etc but that it needs to be done on their end. Is this accurate?

If that old e-mail no longer exists, create a new e-mail and change the WLID on the Xbox LIVE account to the new e-mail.

I've been being harassed. I've blocked communications, but they keep making more xbox accounts and harass me further. What do I do, if they keep doing this? I've been harassed for 5-6 months about a year ago, they kept making more account. And now, recently,
I've been being harassed by someone who's friends with my friend. Same thing, block them, they harass me on more accounts. Do I cancel my xbox live? Do I call the cops? Or are you guys going to stop them? Because allowing people to create more accounts to
harass me, or someone else further, is unacceptable.
