new xbox interface

Your generally aren't given a choice but to update if you want to even access anything with your console. Which in the end your going to end up with the new interface anyway regardless if you don't like it. Also I think that is also the same update that
backwards compatibility is made available to everyone, at least what is on the launch list for BC.

Come November we'll be getting the new ui/dashboard so check out some videos of what it will look like since so far the Ui is annoying in many ways, so many steps to doing simple tasks.

I love it , well done to them ................and with everything sorted properly kudos to them.But they can't please everybody I guess

Wow I'm back Microsoft has made a lot of changes to this forum. When I tried to get here last week, it kept saying "group not found".

As for the Xbox 1, yes A LOT of peps have said it's slow. But if you want slow, you should of seen what it was like at Launch where it took over 30 seconds just to open messages, just to open friends. I mean it runs on a console with an 8 core processor!!
and 8GB RAM!! Better hardware than Xbox 360, and Xbox 360's UI is really fluid and kid friendly. Windows 8 just throws a bunch of boxes in your face. Yes Windows 10 is out and promises Cortana the digial assistant like Siri and Google on phones. I might jump
on my Xbox 1 console see if there's a System Update. Also I'm gonna get Forza 6 tomorrow morning. It releases in the morning for NZ and I think Australia too. I like how on Xbox 360's UI you can see your avatars in the party and your friends. But with Xbox
1, you have to open Mr. Windows 8 app called Avatar App. At least avatar app was a day one Xbox Live Feature. I'm happy how you can now change the dash background and exchange VOICE MESSAGES between Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. I kept on moaning on here how Xbox 1
use to not have Xbox Live Feature aka Voice Messaging. Being able to send ONLY TXT msgs over Xbox Live was so ancient and not next gen. Yes in some ways Windows 8 and Windows 10 look a bit too formal compared to Windows 7 and Xbox 360's Dashboard. Just try
to adapt. Many of my friends aren't really into that Windows 8 UI on Xbox 1. Microsoft has had tonnes of feedback on Xbox 1. They even had to create an official feedback site due to the amount of comments that have been going around about the console. Which
proves they can't make a console THEIR way, they have to shape it around what WE like.

With Kinect it's as easy as "X Box...Go to (Whatever.). Now without the Kinect...it's a different story.
